The Sea of Milk...Doodhsagar

We always think of the Jog, Abbi, Shimsha and Mekedaatu when it comes to discussing about the waterfalls of our state. There is one more splendid breathtaking waterfall in our state, or very near to our state, The Doodhsagar (The Ocean of Milk).

This waterfall is situated midway between the Londa-Madgoan railway line(which was mentioned in the previous post), and also it lies between Belgaum dist. of Karnataka and Goa.

As the name suggests the waterfall has the shape of milk pouring out of a large vessel into huge depths. The most stunning sight is that the railway-route or bridge passes below the waterfall...!!! It should either be a breathtaking view from a distance or an engineering-marvel or both. Its just unimaginable when you on the train crawling through the waterfall.

It takes an actual trekking experience to walk to the falls or near the railway-bridge. This trek involves travelling through numerous railway tunnels and finally reaching the spot...!! The falls is on the River Mandovi with various folktales decribing the origin of its name.

The previous post had a glimpse of Doodhsagar; here it exposes itself for you.... pls do visit once in ur life...For the fact that India has heavens in its heart...

Doodhsagar:

Do visit this place for Gods sake...!!! That'll be the drive from one's mind... The falls can be viewed closely from any train on the Londa-madgoan route, but thats for a few seconds. Those who wanna trek to the place can drop urselves at the Doodhsagar station from which the falls is about 10 kms.

Note: Pics above, are an integrated collection from the world-wide-web, for the sake of letting my friends know about this place.

Nature through the Eyes of Trains...

Train is a mode of transport that carries people along with their memories and images that were recording in the brains through the eyes. The so called 'Howl' ing sound of this creature is still a pleasant sound that soothes a child.

Its generally commented that the Indian Railways is bundle of crap machines and that breeds filth. But comments do not describe the beautiful reality of the Indian railways. As a matter of fact the IR has given some beautiful railway stations and routes that pokke directly into the heart of nature. To name a few, The Konkan Railway, The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, the Ooty railway, Hassan-Mangalore broadgauge route, Londa-Marmagoa route, Srinagar-Udhampur route,.....goes on...

Some hilarious pics of Nature through the eyes of the Steam Engine/Electric Engine.....

The Darjeeling Himalayan railway that has a toy train to creep through the slopes of the Himalayas. It is declared as World Heritage Monument by UNESCO.

The Hassan-Mangalore railway route which was closed for a period of 12 years, had reopened with broadgauge conversion. This route is known for the spectacular view of the Western ghats it provides. It has 30+ tunnels and 50+ bridges over a span of 60 kms. The route is also a famous trekking trail.

The route become more picturesque when it reaches Yedakumeri, which is between Subrahmanya and Sakleshpura.

The Konkan Railway is one of the most beautiful rail-routes in the whole nation. This connects Mangalore and Mumbai and passes through Karwar, Rathnagiri and many places that showcast lust-green surroundings. This route is highly destructive during monsoons, due to landslides.

The pictures below show something that other countries would love to build...Something with which beauty can be defined.... Its the DOODHSAGAR waterfalls that fall over the Londa-Madgaon Rail track....check out...

A few more beautiful natural scenes from the trains....

Thats near Ratnagiri, Konkan railway route...

Srinagar Railway Station in snow....

Thats enroute to Palghat Junction in Kerala....

DoodhSaagar Railway station..........

This one is somewhere near Kodaikkanal....

The Rail-route from Mettupalayam to Udhagamandalam(Ooty). this too iss one of the most famous railway routes on this planet. Like Darjeeling its a toy train here too..

In India Beauty lies in the disorderliness of nature's growth....Let it bloom the way it wishes.

Towards the End of a College life....

I'm a deviating a bit from the normal nature and techy posts, for this one...

College - is the beautiful word, the beauty of which is realized and felt only when you depart from it. Its a phase of life which everyone passes through pleasantly or bitterly. It gives you the maturity, sensibility and the experience of how to face the world. It is the time when your adrenaline always pops-up for anything and everything, to give you the courage and force to achieve them. It's a place where you are allowed to fly and still being monitored, so that you feel secure. Such a thing was my college- B.N.M.I.T, Bangalore, which 'll be leaving my life in a few days... Here are a few snaps and heartfelt lines for the "nest which gave me the feathers".

We had the Graduation Day function which made us look really Decent...wow. This is my class

If I had a chance to speak for the college, these would be a few lines...

"..........This college had shown us most of the phases of life...good and bad. We all have stood for it and in the same time, scolded it for many things. But we have done all that because its OURS. If it wasn't, why would we give a shit. If your mom scolds, you might feel bad....but you'll not stop loving her. That's what this college is for us............... If it gave us bitterness, it also gave a lot of sweet things which made us extremely happy. It had given us strong feathers to fly high and strong.
Whatever we had seen here, have become the part and parcel of our life, which we can term as experience.... We might blame our college for many things in front of others, but in the inside of each of us, it written and defined that You Do Love It.... Cos u love it for the wonderful friends it has given u, the wonderful teachers to guide you and for the care that u used to get even out of school.... If u wanna show your love to the college, don't do it by weeping....do it by achieving great things hereafter.....kudos to BNMIT...."

A few more snaps of my friends..... future Tye-bearers...

The Guyzzzz....

The Galzzzz.....

Do Feel for ur college ..... otherwise its not worth you lived it....
